Legal nurse consultants are registered nurses who use their unique experience and specialties in the healthcare field and combine them with the legal field. Remember our special backgrounds and specialties we talked about before?

Legal nurse consultants work with attorneys, serving as the subject matter experts.

Think of it like this. The attorney is the expert on the legal side. The legal nurse is the missing link or puzzle piece for all things medical nursing(within our scope). We know the healthcare system!

We didn’t just take care of patients, we were part of a process, fulfilling the SOP, part of the standard of care.

The LNC provides consulting services to the attorney concerning medical issues.

The LNC can also subcontract herself to other LNC’s who need assistance with their case loads.

The LNC field is vast, unique, and open to newbies!
